What is jorge salcedo cabrera?

Jorge Salcedo Cabrera is a former professional soccer player from Colombia. He was born on June 14, 1963, in Medellin, Colombia. Salcedo played as a defender and spent the majority of his career with Deportivo Cali, one of Colombia's top clubs.

After retiring as a player, Salcedo transitioned into coaching and management roles. He served as head coach for Deportivo Cali and also worked as a technical director for various clubs in Colombia. In 2018, he was appointed head coach of the Colombian national futsal team.

Salcedo gained international recognition for his role in the highly successful Netflix series "Narcos: Mexico." He was portrayed by actor Matias Varela in the show, which depicted his involvement in the infamous Guadalajara Cartel and his subsequent cooperation with the DEA to bring down drug lord Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo.

Despite his criminal past, Salcedo remains a respected figure in Colombian soccer circles and continues to be involved in various coaching and leadership roles within the sport.
